Administrative Assistant:

 

Meredith Funeral Homes is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team.  It is a full time position and is located at our main office in Carbondale, IL.  This position provides administrative and secretarial support that includes typing, filing and scheduling.  The Administrative Assistant performs duties such as financial record keeping, accounts receivable, coordination of meetings with families, obtaining supplies, and working on special projects.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommend changes in office practices or procedures.

 

The ideal candidate is someone with outstanding customer service, organizational, and detail orientation skills.  This position requires a high school diploma and one year of administrative experience.  In addition, an associate’s degree, two years of related experience, and knowledge of Microsoft office and QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred.

 

This position is primarily Monday – Friday during regular office hours.  We offer paid vacation time and sick leave as well as an option to contribute to an IRA.
