Billy "Shon" Gene Roberson

MARION – Billy “Shon” Gene Roberson, 65, of Marion, formerly of Grand Tower, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2021.



Shon was born August 31, 1955 to Billy and Myrtle (Abbott) Roberson in Oak Park, Illinois.



Shon was a member of the rescue dog organization. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and going on Poker Runs with his friends.



Shon is survived by his daughter, Ashlynn Jean Roberson; sister, Brenda Lowry; step-children, Cody and Trey Libbert; and nephews, Josh and Jason Smith, Chrissy and Ricky Roberson and Jade and Winston Lowry.



He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phillip, Ricky and Robert Roberson; and sister, Kathy Smith.



Visitation for Shon will be on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.
