Charlie Lacy, Jr.

Elkville – Charlie Lacy, Jr., 55, passed away at 2:44 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017.



Charlie was born in Carbondale on July 25, 1962 to Charles Eugene Lacy, Sr. and Leona Nadine (Wright) Lacy.



He enjoyed being outdoors riding around on his side-by-side surrounded by great beauty of nature and wildlife.  Fishing was one of his favorite hobbies and he was really good at it inspiring others to get into this sport. 



Charlie was united in marriage with Carol Ann Weaver on December 27, 1988 and spent many wonderful years together.



Charlie is survived by mother, Leona Nadine Lacy; daughter, India Marsh of Elkville; three living sisters, Nancy (Mike) Aldridge of Elkville, Julie (Kevin) Hicks of Elkville and Donna (Roger) Waller of Elkville; two grandchildren, Emma Marsh and Skylar Galloway; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 



He is preceded in death by father Charles Lacy, Sr. of Elkville.



Services for Charlie will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday December 6, 2017 in Elkville Christian Church, Elkville with Rev. Jerry Aken and Scott Slone officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Makanda. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale.  



Memorials can be made to the family and will be accepted by the funeral home.
