Charlyne Wohlwend

HERRIN – Charlyne Wohlwend, 78, of Carbondale, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Herrin Hospital.



Charlyne was born October 13, 1940 to Charles and Jewell (Grear) Heisler in Murphysboro, IL. She married Jackie D. Wohlwend on August 28th, 1959, he preceded her in death in January of 1996.



Survivors include her son, Charles Wohlwend of Carterville; daughter, Jaci and husband Mike Planchet of Riverview, FL; grandchildren, Madeleine and Emma; and brother, Charles E. Heisler of Pocatello, Idaho.



She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.



Charlyne was an active member at Lakeland Baptist Church of Carbondale. She was a devoted housewife, mother, and Christian. She was not only a Christian in name but a Christian in action with everything she did.



Graveside services will be 11 am, Monday, August 19, 2019 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL with Rev. Phil Nelson officiating.



Memorials may be made to Epilepsy Foundation or Lakeland Baptist Church.
