Clarksville, TN - Christopher Ray Woods, 22, formerly of Carbondale, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014, in Ft. Campbell, KY. Chris was born February 14, 1991 in Carbondale, to Samuel Ray Woods and Kimberly Crouse. He married Paige Estrella on January 28, 2013 in Murphysboro. She survives and is of Clarksville, TN. Other survivors include his twin daughters, Vanessa Rae and Daphne Fae Woods of Clarksville, TN; five brothers, Randy Riley, David Richardson, Anthony Woods, Devan Woods and Dakota Crouse; father, Sam (Amy) Woods of Lexington Park, MD; mother, Kimberly Ciliciano of Middleburg, FL; grandparents, Mary Jane Woods and Gary Pollock of Carbondale; grandmothers, Chong Cha Crouse and Susie Stephan; great grandmother, Juanita Calhoun of De Soto; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Underwood and Stanley Ray Crouse; great grandfather, Carl Calhoun and an uncle, Chad Woods. Chris was serving in the Army as a mechanic, but served as a loving father first. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale, with Rev Robert Gray officiating. Interment with military graveside rites conducted by the US Army of Ft Leonard Wood, MO, will be at Oakland Cemetery, Carbondale. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to a Trust Fund for his daughters, Wounded Warriors, or Big Brothers & Big Sisters, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
