Dennis Anthony Glody

Makanda - Dennis Anthony Glody, 62, died on September 4, 2013, at his home. Dennis was born on June 2, 1951, to Martin and Gladys (Olson) Glody in Evanston. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Frederick Glody. He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Nast of Makanda; son, Michael Glody of New York City; sister-in-law, Sharon Glody of Wheeling; nephews, Brett Glody of Wheeling, and James Glody and family of Mount Prospect; and niece, Christine Glody, as well as many other relatives and friends. Dennis worked in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years as an engineer for GTE, and later Verizon. He enjoyed playing guitar, gardening and working outdoors. Per Dennis' wishes, he will be cremated. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
