Cobden - Jeffrey Ray Davis, 40, of Cobden, formerly of Huntingdon, TN, passed away at 10:52 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Jeffrey was born October 17, 1972 in Clarksburg, WV to Johnny Ray and Patsy Ruth (Morgan) Davis. His mother precedes him in death. He married Lisa Ann Lynn on October 2, 2008 in Huntingdon, TN. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Lisa Davis; son, Tristan Davis; three daughters, Lydia Davis, Alissa and Abbigail Spencer all of Cobden; his father, John Davis, and brother, Joe Davis both of Weirsdale, FL; a sister, Jennifer Carey of Davison, MI; many aunts and uncles, including Mary Brookshear of Huntingdon, TN, who was like a surrogate mother to him after his mother's death. He was preceded in death by his mother, and step-son, Brandon Snyder. He served in the U.S. Army in Desert Storm and was a member of the Elks Lodge #2152 in Huntingdon, TN. He was a manager at Chili's Restaurant in Carbondale. Jeffrey was an avid NY Giants fan and enjoyed working out at the Fitness Forum in Anna. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, with Reverend James Brooks officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Carroll Memorial Gardens in McKenzie, TN. There will be a gathering time after the service at First Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon, TN. Memorials may be made out to a Trust fund for Tristan and Lydia and will be accepted at the funeral home.
