Maria Elena Brehm

CARBONDALE - Maria Elena Brehm, born May 22, 1946 to Charles and Marie Brehm in Lake County, IL passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Carbondale, IL at the age of 73.



Maria graduated from Waukegan High School, class of 1964. She worked for more than 18 years for the City of Highland Park until she retired. She then moved to Carbondale, IL. There, she enjoyed volunteering at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, league bowling, and playing Canasta. Maria also enjoyed traveling, reading, board games and playing Words with Friends.



She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Carbondale) and Mark (Chicago), her grandchildren, Valerie and Gabriel, and her sister Andrea.



She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles.



No services will be held.



Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
