Pat Solterman

December 26, 1929 — September 28, 2016

Carbondale – Annie “Pat” Betheline Solterman passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and daughter by her side on September 28, 2016.



Pat was born in Florence, Alabama to Homer and Lena (Dennis) Muse on December 26, 1929. She married Lowell Solterman in 1967 and they shared 49 years of adventure together. Pat held several occupations during her life including working at a soda fountain, as a dental technician and finally as a sales consultant at JC Penny’s in Carbondale. Pat was a pristine homemaker who enjoyed decorating their house and tending her plants. She has been an exceptionally loving mother and wife.



Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lena Muse; siblings, Lillian Carmack, Walter Eugene Muse, Rosco Earl “Jabo” Muse and Juanita Daugherty; and nephews James and George Muse.



She is survived by spouse, Lowell Solterman of Carbondale; daughter Lisa Soltermann of Roseville, MN; sister, Ester Holt of Killen, AL; nephews, William Carmack, Howard Leon (Chong Ae) Carmack, Robert (Lee) Carmack, Carlos Carmack, David Muse; Walter Muse, Danny Muse, Donald Muse, and Bryan Muse; and nieces, Charmaine Muse, Pamela Quade, Deborah Melton, and Brenda Bogus.



At Pat’s request there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at Orendorff Cemetery in Hopedale, IL at a later date.



Special appreciation to India and staff at Celtic Hospice of Marion. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to Celtic Hospice, 8341 Express Drive; Marion, IL 62959.
