Robert L. 'Bob' Kiriakos

Carbondale - Bob Kiriakos passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was born in East St. Louis on December 2, 1936 to George and Isabella Kiriakos. He married Charlotte Addison on June 26, 1955. They had 4 children, Scott (Cindy) Kiriakos of Rochester, IL; Ken (Rita) Kiriakos of Loveland, CO; George (Cathy) Kiriakos of Chesterfield, MO and Susan (Don) Lewis of Kalispell, MT. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Michael Kiriakos (Amy Bleibel) of Barrington, IL; Rachel Kiriakos of Denver, CO; Alan (Emily) Kiriakos of Loveland, CO; Kyle (Cathy) Kiriakos of Loveland, CO; Jason Kiriakos of Fort Collins, CO; Nicholas Kiriakos of St. Louis, MO; Willie Kiriakos of Eolia, MO; Kara Kiriakos of Chesterfield, MO; Emily Lewis and Drew Lewis of Kalispell, MT; 5 great grandchildren, Korina Kiriakos and Lillian Kiriakos of Loveland, CO; Delia Kiriakos and Dylan and Aaron Gutierrez of Loveland, CO. Bob spent his working career in the insurance industry. He began as a salesman for Golden Rule Insurance in 1956 and held senior executive marketing positions with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois and Delta Dental Insurance. Bob was a family man and his family came first above all other things. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert L. Kiriakos, may be made to the Southern Illinois Parkinson Support Group, which Robert founded; in care of Carol at SI Healthcare, 1239 E. Main St., Carbondale IL 62901, and may also be made to SIU Athletics at 1490 Douglas Drive, Mailcode 6620, Carbondale IL 62901.
