Ronald Gene Rice

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith..." Ronald Gene Rice, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Ron was preceded in death by his dad, Richard D. Rice and mother, Barbara L. Dunn. A private celebration of life service was held Monday, April 6, 2015. Those left to continue his celebration were: daughter, Allyson Wright, husband Tom and sons Noah and Eli; siblings, Robert Rice, Linda (Rice) Zintak and Gary, Rick Rice and Neta, Debi (Rice) Williams and Edward, Patti Pritchett, Lori Rice, Timothy Rice and Lisa, Amy Craig and many nieces and nephews that remained in his heart. Ron's wish was to be free. His family honored this wish by spreading his ashes in a beautiful private meadow. His memorial stone will be laid at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery next to his dad.
