Rose Mary Kline

Carbondale – Rose Kline, 91, passed away on October 21, 2016 at Prairie Living in Carbondale.



Rose was born on January 11, 1925 to Henry and Marie (Hennrich) Pflasterer. She was united in marriage with Paul Kline on December 27, 1952 in Carbondale. She graduated from Carbondale Community High School in 1943, and worked at the Dillinger Feed Store for 15 years. She was then a nanny for 15 years. Rose was an active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, which is now known as The Ridge, and was baptized on April 1, 1951.



Rose is survived by two sons, Jerry (Cathy) Kline of Makanda; Rodger (Margie) Kline of Great Falls, MT; two daughters, Paula (William) Swope of San Antonio, TX; Karen (Thomas) Howell of Murphysboro; sister, Lucy Drew of Carbondale; 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Rodney and Larry Kline; four brothers, and two sisters.



Services for Rose will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.



Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the Ridge Church, formerly known as Walnut Street Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
