Ruth Marks

MARION - Ruth Marks, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Shawnee Senior Living in Herrin.



Ruth was born in Marion on October 24, 1941 to Virgil and Mae (Brush) Marks.



Ruth was of the Baptist faith. She worked for Todd's Cleaning and Laundry until she retired.



She is survived by her sister, Stella Childers of Blairsville; nephew, Randy (Patricia) Childers of Colp; niece, Rita (Zeke) Tullis of Cambria; great-niece, Rachel (Lucas) Alstat of De Soto; brother Loyde (Mary) Marks of Collinsville; sisters-in-law, Bonette Marks and Nancy Marks; and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernon and Carl Marks; sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Jerome Wear; brother-in-law, Pete Childers; and nephews, Rick Childers and Neal Marks.



Private family services were held with burial in Cundiff Cemetery in Blairsville.
