With another blessing due in May she was so excited about. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sharon Houston, twin granddaughters Annie and Amber Ellet, and grandson James Wells. Sadie loved to cook and if you ever had the pleasure of being at her table, you experienced a delicious meal made with love. Her kitchen was a sacred place, where problems were solved, jokes were told and love was endless. She was a true-blue St. Louis Cardinals fan and went to her first Cardinals game at the young age of 86. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Light House Christian Assembly in Grand Tower with Bob Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery, Grand Tower. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and St Jude’s Children Hospital. Meredith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
