Suzi Biggers

Carbondale - Susan Annette "Suzi" Biggers, 49, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Louis University, MO, with her loving family by her side. Suzi was born March 24, 1965 in Carbondale to Charles William and Charline (Dycus) Ashwell. She married Mark Alan Biggers on February 17, 1995 in Murphysboro. He survives and is of Murphysboro. Suzi is also survived by her three children, David Andrew, Sean Christopher and Jennifer Ashley Ashwell all of Murphysboro; her mother and step-father, Charline Ashwell-Gibson and Dewey W. Gibson of Carbondale; her uncle and aunt, Jerry and Judy Howell of Carterville; mother-in-law, Ann Bambrick of Carbondale; father-in-law, James Paul Biggers of Springfield; sister-in-law, Patty (Larry) Tate of Carlyle; brothers-in-law, Mike (Debbie) Biggers of Springfield and Brian (Lisa) Biggers of Carbondale; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, godparents, Jean & Neal Spillman, her father-in-law, Mike Bambrick, and a cousin, Jeff Howell. Suzi was of Christian faith, a homemaker and an animal lover. She will be missed by many. A gathering to celebrate Suzi's life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale. Memorial donations are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to St. Francis CARE no-kill animal shelter, or the Jackson County Humane Shelter, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
