Thomas J Kulovany

Carbondale - Thomas J. Kulovany, 61, passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013 at his residence. Tom was born in Oak Park on April 6, 1952 to Joseph John Kulovany and Vlasta (Prochaska) Kulovany. He owned Kully Koil and Beverage Supply Company for 28 years. He served his business clients with loyalty, respect and great personal care; knowing them not just as clients but as friends. His fianc��e Michelle, and his daughter Nicole will continue to run the business. He recently renewed his love and devotion to Christ. Survivors include daughter, Nicole Kulovany of Miami Beach, Florida; two brothers, Rich Kulovany of Chicago and Robert Kulovany of Fort Collins, Colorado; and fianc��e Michelle Kulovany of Carbondale. Tom enjoyed boating; going to concerts, dancing, gardening, and going to parties to meet new people and see old friends. Thomas loved people. He never met a person or stranger he wasn't able to engage in conversation. He was a very devoted father, raising his daughter, as the primary caregiver. He would cook dinner, read bedtime stories and tuck her into bed at night. He was also very devoted to the love of his life, Michelle. He was a rock and the protector for his family. Tom exuded energy and enthusiasm for life. No matter what happened, he never seemed to let things get him down for long. He overcame many obstacles. Family and friends will always remember Thomas for his passion for life. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale, with Rev. John Annable officiating. Burial will be at Lipe Cemetery.
