Alison Faye Harmon

Alison Faye Harmon, 60, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Alison was born on November 24, 1965 to Horace and Judith (McKinnon) Smith in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Steve Harmon on 10/09/2010 in Rosedale IL.

Alison is survived by her husband Steve Harmon, daughter Cheyenne Durr, and (son) Kyle Souders. She also has two Sister’s Coral Robinson and Janice Mason Summer

She was preceded in death by her parents and very good friends Faye and Tommy Buchek.

Alison Harmon lived her life to the fullest she worked for IDNR for 18 years and then for Illinois DOC for 4 years, she also worked as secretary for several years. She also worked at SIH hospital for her last job she loved the people and her coworkers. Alison was a great mother & wife and loved her dogs Harley & Birdie who stayed by her side until the end. She Lived in Saint Louis Missouri, Hardin IL Bartonville IL and Tamaroa IL. She will be forever missed. I’m sure she will spend all of eternity in heaven, God got a good woman.
