GRAND TOWER - Bradley Wayne Mezo, a cherished son, brother, and father, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Grand Tower, Illinois, at the age of 60. Born on April 24, 1966 to Kenneth Mezo and Judy (Davis) Henson in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brad lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and a profound love for the outdoors.
Brad was a dedicated salesman in the heavy equipment industry, having proudly served at Schaefer's Enterprise. His commitment to his work was only matched by his love for his family, friends and the simple joys of life. An enthusiast in every sense, Brad found joy in playing guitar, working on vehicles, and assembling and disassembling engines. Many will remember him for his adventurous spirit, his deep appreciation for nature, and his joy in riding motorcycles. The great outdoors was where he truly felt free, often exploring the beauty of the world around him through hunting and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his beloved son, Braden (Hannah) Mezo; his sister, Sherry (Kevin) Ellet; and his brothers, Tracy (Misty) Mezo and Scott (Robbin) Mezo; and many nieces and nephews. Each of them will carry forward his legacy of kindness, determination, and love.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and parents, Kenneth Mezo and Judy Henson.
Funeral services to honor Brad's life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday June 19, 2026 at the Lighthouse Christian Assembly in Grand Tower with Pastor Richie Pyatt officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Walker Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Brad’s honor to Wounded Warriors Project and will be accepted at the church.
Brad’s spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all to embrace life’s adventures.
