Evelyn Kay Martin

Evelyn Kay Martin was born sleeping at 10:16 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was the beloved daughter of Kaitlyn Ann Hernandez and Tyler Luke Martin of Murphysboro.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn is survived by her maternal grandmother AnaMaria Hernandez of Murphysboro, paternal grandmother Lorie Martin (Andy Green) of Murphysboro, paternal grandfather Cory Martin of Hartford City, IN, maternal great grandfather Aurelio Hernandez of Murphysoboro, paternal great grandparents Dan and Sandi Martin of Muncie, IN, uncles Blake Morthland of Murphysboro and Cory Stephen Martin of St. Joseph, MO, and aunt Ciara Martin of Muncie, IN. She is preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother Linda Kay Hernandez and paternal great grandparents Henry and Lucille Newfarmer.

Evelyn was loved from the moment she entered our hearts and she will be forever remembered.

A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at a later date.
