Frances "Frankie" Holsonbake

DESOTO - Frances "Frankie" Holsonbake, age 94, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. 

Frankie was born on December 17, 1930 in Saint Louis, MO to Matthew and Elizabeth (Sanders) Omersu. She married James Holsonbake on July 23, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. 

Frankie is survived by her husband James Holsonbake; children, Dick (Sue) Bullar, Ron (Kathy) Bullar, Gail Gauthrie and James A. Holsonbake; nine granddaughters; many great-grandchildren; her special loved ones in Southern Illinois; her friends and if you knew her you loved her and she you. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Helaine Mottershead; infant son, Frankie L. Cummings; sister, Betty Alexander and sister-in-law, Iris Lightle. 

Per Frankie's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.
