Frank Douglas Meade, 62, currently of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away in his home on April 20, 2025. Born to Chalk and Dubie Meade in Carbondale, Illinois, on October 21, 1962. Frank lived a life of hard work, love, a little rowdiness, and the outdoors.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Vancouver. He then served as a correctional officer in Illinois, where he later retired as Sergeant.

When he wasn’t working, Frank could be found in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, or riding his Harley. Frank also loved every minute he spent with his grandkids.

Anyone that knew Frank would tell you that he was bigger than life, and he had a heart of gold. Frankie never met a stranger. He will be missed by all.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother “Dubie” Carson Meade, his father, Oliver “Chalk” Meade, and sister Debbie Qualls.

Frank is survived by his nephew, Eric Matthew Meade, which he had an unbreakable bond with; son, Doug (Whitney) Meade and their two sons Gunner and Cache; daughter Holly (Colby) Alexander and their two daughters and son, Lilly, Andy, and Axyl; loving life partner Tonya Vance and her two daughters Anniston and Jessica (Austin) Weddington, he loved them as his own; his sisters Janey Ellet and family, Linda Dudley and family, June Mifflin and family, and Deanna Harris and family.
