Gary Dale Mcdaniel

Gary Dale McDaniel, 77, of Marion, KY, formally of Carbondale, IL, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Livingston Hospital in Salem, KY.

Gary was born on September 24, 1946 in Carbondale, IL to William “Bill” and LaVerne (Hall) McDaniel.

Gary served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in various manufacturing facilities in Kentucky for over 30 years.  He was a 40 year dedicated Masonic Member and Past Worshipful Master of Carrsville Lodge #812 in Carrsville, Kentucky.

Gary is survived by his brother, Morris McDaniel and wife, Janet of Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Vera McDaniel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ramona and Howard Sharp and Beulah and Don Hagler; and two infant siblings, Minnie Mae and William Lewis.

Graveside Services for Gary will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale with Rev. Paul Hicks officiating.

Memorials may be made in Gary’s name to the donor’s choice.
