Jamie Sord

Marion - Jamie (Curle) Sord, 31, of Marion, formerly of Grand Tower, passed away at Heartland Regional Medical Center on Thursday, March 2, 2017.



Jamie was born on July 26, 1985 to Kevin H. Curle and Patti Ann Nimmo. She married Michael Sord in Marion on February 1, 2008.



Jamie is survived by her husband, Mike Sord of Marion; Daughter, Liberty Ann Sord of Marion; Mother, Patti Nimmo of Grand Tower; Father, Kevin (Doris) Curle of O’Fallon; Maternal grandmother, Irene Nimmo of Grand Tower; Paternal grandmother, JoAnne Curle of O’Fallon; step-sister’s, Kristi Mersingler and Kati Eckert of Fairview Heights; Father and Mother-in-law, Mark and Polly Basta of Marion; brother-in-law, J.J. Sord of Herrin; sister-in-law, Golda Brandon of Cambria; Uncle, Mike (Sharron) Nimmo of Grand Tower; Aunt, Peggy Camp of Grand Tower; Uncle, Scott (Kim) Nimmo of Clinton; Uncle, Kenny (Stacey) Nimmo; many cousins, and special friends, Stephanie Bullard, Jessie Eck, and Lara Clover.



She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Frank Nimmo and Hank Curle; cousin, Kelly Sue Hokkanen; and uncle, Larry Camp.



Jamie was the owner and founder of the Clutterbugs of Southern Illinois and the Clutterbugs Hunting and Outdoor website and Facebook pages. Jamie was also an avid Cardinals fan and always enjoyed being outdoors. Jamie would also organize vendor shows for various companies to show their product and all of the proceeds went to charities.



Services for Jamie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Lighthouse Christian Assembly Church in Grand Tower with Reverend Peggy Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Hill Cemetery, Grand Tower. A time of visitation will be held from 11-1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Lighthouse Christian Assembly.



Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale is assisting the family with arrangements.



In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the funeral home to further assist with funeral expenses.
