Jeanette Hagen

CARBONDALE – Jeanette Hagen, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanette was born on August 17, 1941 in Carbondale to Emmett and Ruby (Winget) Harrison. She married Curtis Hagen on March 14, 1975 in Carbondale. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1992.

She enjoyed bowling and sewing, which allowed her to express her creativity and share her talents with others. A fervent bingo enthusiast, she found joy in the camaraderie of friends and family over a game, cherishing the moments spent in laughter and friendly competition. Jeanette also dedicated many years to her work as a property manager for Chucks Rentals. She was a devoted animal lover and found comfort in the company of her cherished cats, who provided her with companionship and joy.

Jeanette is survived by her beloved daughters, Belinda (Greg) Jezek and Teresa Taylor; grandchildren, Nick Peeler, Kelsey (Cody) Hagen, Lacey Peeler, and Taylor Jezek; great-grandchildren, Jayvon, Josiah, Riley, Ruby, Jordan, Jaxson, Jurnee and Arlo. She was also a source of strength and love for her siblings, Tom (Terri) Harrison, Jeanie (Jim) Browning, Linda Nance, and Donna (Jay) Howd. Her legacy will continue to touch the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curt; parents; infant sister, Marie; and brother-in-law, Roscoe Nance.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00am until 10:45am on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. The Carbondale Eagles Auxiliary will provide Eagles Rites following the visitation. Funeral services for Jeanette will begin at 11:00am with Tom Harrison officiating. Interment will be at McKinney Hill Cemetery.
