Kameron M. Strabley

CARBONDALE - Kameron Michael Strabley, age 22, passed away on May 19, 2026. Born on May 15, 2004, in Carbondale, IL, Kameron made a profound impact on everyone around him as an incredible person with boundless enthusiasm for life, music, and adventure.

Kameron was a talented musician, pouring his heart into his passion for playing in the bands, Crunch & Trial By Error, as well as being involved with Musicians United SIUC. Music was not just a hobby for him; it was a way of connecting with the world and sharing joy with others. His recent graduation from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering was a testament to his hard work and determination, and he looked forward to using his knowledge to make a difference in his community.

An avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hiking and had just started rock climbing. His adventurous spirit was complemented by his love of travel, as he yearned to experience different cultures and create memories across the globe.

Kameron is survived by his loving parents, Joseph and Katherine Strabley; sister, Lucia Strabley; maternal grandparents, Michael and Patricia McGinn; paternal grandfather, Michael Strabley and his wife Leslie; and many other family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Christine Pathy Enright. 

A time of visitation for family and friends to come together and celebrate Kameron’s life will be from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kameron’s name to Musicians United SIUC and will be accepted at the funeral home.
