Larry "Nappy" Robertson

GRAND TOWER - Larry “Nappy” Robertson, 65, of Grand Tower, IL passed away Thursday morning January 1st 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Larry was born September 30th, 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Loren and Irene Robertson. He married Yvonne “Von” Robertson August 8th 1981 in Grand Tower, IL. Larry was above all else an amazing husband, father, Pawpaw, brother, uncle and friend. Larry was an avid hunter & survivalist. Larry’s character was unmatched, one of the biggest hearts, would help anyone without expectation of anything in return, always quick with a joke and trying to put a smile on someone’s face.

Larry is survived by his wife Von; children Haley (David) Hollmann and Hunter (Jessi) Robertson; grandchild Kaya; step grandchildren Kam, Brayden, siblings, Thomas (Lucy) Robertson, Frank (Rita) Robertson, Stanley Robertson, James Robertson, Charles (Rhonda) Robertson, Gary (Pat) Robertson, Alma Cripps, and Pearl Knupp, beloved friend Buddy (Teresa) Tripp and MANY other cherished friends and family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Irene Robertson; Brothers Junior, Bob and Ducky; Sisters Shirley, Pat and Roberta.

A Celebration of Larry’s Life, hosted by the family, will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Grand Tower, with Pastor Kenny Verble officiating. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with Masonic Rites at 12:30 pm, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
