Linda Buchacker

CARBONDALE - Linda Sue Buchacker, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.

Linda was born on July 18, 1948 in Carbondale to Raymond and Mary (Hodge) Buchacker.

Linda worked at Nutrition Headquarters in Carbondale for many years and then at START in Murphysboro doing microfilm. She was a prolific reader and enjoyed mysteries and romantic novels.

Linda is survived by her sister, Nancy Buchacker; niece, Donna (Billy) Koepsel; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Katherine Booth.

Funeral Services for Linda will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale with Rev. John Annable officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Linda’s name to Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
