Mary Josephine Jasinski of Buffalo Grove, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 84.
Born on April 20, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to Joseph and Helen (Kloc) Stvartak, Mary lived a life rich with love, creativity, and compassion, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her. Mary was a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and was very passionate of her alma mater.
Mary's warmth and vibrancy shone brightly throughout her life. A dedicated and talented pharmacist, she committed herself to the well-being of others in her profession, always bringing a sense of care and understanding to her work. Beyond her career, Mary possessed a profound artistic spirit. She found joy in arts and crafts, pouring her heart into making beautiful cards and delighting in the creative process. Her love for artistic expression led her to numerous arts and crafts shows.
Mary's interests extended to birdwatching and gardening, where she appreciated the beauty of nature and found peace in nurturing her plants. Mary also had a special affection for Disney World, where countless magical memories were made, and her love for musical theatre filled her heart with joy. Another favorite pastime was going to the casinos.
Mary is survived by her sons, Andrew Jasinski "A.J." of Buffalo Grove and William Jasinski "B.J." and wife Pamela of Southfield, MI; daughter, Catherine Jasinski "C.J." and husband David of Carbondale; and granddaughters, Allison, Kirsten and Jocelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Stvartak and husband, Walter T. Jasinski on May 10, 2026.
