Nancy Buchacker

CARBONDALE - Nancy L. Buchacker, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Nancy was born on December 29, 1949 in Carbondale to Raymond and Mary (Hodge) Buchacker.

As a devoted gardener, Nancy found joy in nurturing her plants, reflecting her love for nature. Her compassion extended to all living beings, as she had a profound love for animals. A shared love for music often filled her home, where she found solace and joy in melodies that resonated with her spirit.

Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her caring nature, always putting others before herself. Her nurturing instincts made her a cherished friend and an admirable aunt to her niece, Donna Koepsel, who will remember her with great fondness and admiration.

Nancy is survived by her niece, Donna (Billy) Koepsel and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Katherine Booth and Linda Buchacker.

Funeral Services for Nancy will be announced soon.

Memorials may be made in Nancy's name to Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
