Ruth Madden

November 16, 1930 — March 12, 2017

Harrisburg - Ruth Madden, 86, passed away in Saline County Nursing Home in Harrisburg, IL on Sunday, March 12, 2017. She is in heaven now singing, “Jesus Loves Me this I know for the Bible tells me so.” This is a song she loved to dance and sing to as she worshipped the Lord. Ruth loved to play the piano and sing. Also, she was funny and loved to laugh!



Ruth Madden was born November 16, 1930 in Murphysboro, Illinois to William and Nina Madden. She is survived by one brother, James “Jimmie” Madden of Anna-Jonesboro; nine nieces and nephews; and a slew of great nieces and nephews in Williamson and Jackson County.



Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Orpha Carol Wahaib and Billie Marie Tope. Also, one brother, Charles Madden.



There will be a graveside service for Ruth on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Lipe Cemetery on Poplar Camp Road in Makanda, Illinois. Robert Hagan from Elijah Foundation in Carbondale, will be officiating the service. Everyone who knew Ruth is invited to the service. If you are a Christian and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you will see Ruth again in heaven when God calls you home to live and your purpose here on earth has ended.
