Samuel Parker Houston

Carbondale – Samuel Parker Houston, infant son of Melanie Hammond and Robert Houston Jr. was born sleeping at 9:06 p.m. on October 8, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.



Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Maria Hammond, Makenna Hammond, and Christina Houston; and one brother, Bryant Houston, all of Carbondale; an aunt, Kanci Houston of Ullin; grandparents, Debra and Robert Houston Sr. of Ullin, Kelly and Randy Upchurch of Hurst, and Vivian Turner of Energy; as well as numerous cousins and friends.



He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Eckles; his aunt, Jamie (Eckles) Mize; and his great grandparents.



Samuel was carried by his mother every moment of his short life and we will love him every moment of ours.
