Shawna Hale-LaDage

MURPHYSBORO - After a five-year battle with colon cancer Shawna Hale-LaDage, 52, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Shawna was born on January 5, 1971 in Carbondale to Terry and Sherri (West) Hale.

Shawna was an amazing person that brought great joy to her family and friends. She had many passions, the greatest being her love for all animals and her love of the water. She had 4 dogs that she loved immensely and dreamed of opening a rescue for dogs in need. She also loved everything to do with the water. She looked forward to spending her summers by the pool or on the beach. She had a passion for new experiences and food. She loved cooking shows that showed beautiful places and amazing food. She dreamed of traveling to unique restaurants that she had seen featured on cooking shows. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Shawna is survived by her sons, William Ladage and Dylan Hale; parents, Sherri and Terry Hale; brothers, Lincoln Hale and Richard Hale.

Private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Shawna's name to St. Francis Care.
