CARBONDALE - Shine Fletter, 9, of Carbondale, died at 8:46 am Monday, December 28, 2015 at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, surrounded by his loving family. Shine loved art, science, soccer, basketball, fishing, hunting and playing games. He had an endless curiosity for the natural world, especially little creatures that crawled and flew. Shine was a kind and thoughtful boy who loved to laugh and goof around with his friends. He was a bright light and lived into his name, "Shine!" He is survived by his parents, Mark and Flora (Paprocki) Fletter; his sister Eleanor (Ellie); his family in Chicago, grandparents, Ricky and Ruby Barnes, Rosemary Fletter, and Charles E. Fletter, his uncles Eric Fletter, Paul Fletter, Adam Fletter, and many cousins; in Carbondale, his grandfather, Chuck Paprocki and uncle, Chris Paprocki; and many other cousins, aunts and uncles. Shine grew up in the Dayemi Sufi Community in Carbondale, and will be sorely missed. Though Shine's time was short, we rest assured that he had a rich and full life, and that he was truly a happy boy. Services are open to the General Public. Funeral and burial services are 10:00 a.m, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Dayempur Farm, 35 Nubbin Ridge Lane in Anna. Memorial service and New Year's Eve party celebrating Shine's life is at 8:30 p.m. at the Dayemi Community Center, 218, N. Illinois Ave., Carbondale, IL.
