Violet M. Forbes

DE SOTO – Violet “Priss” Forbes, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.



Violet was born on April 3, 1930 to Cecil “Cleth” and Stella (Jones) Mc Kinney in Carbondale. She married Jack E. Forbes on May 25, 1972 in De Soto. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2006.



Violet is survived by her daughters, Diana Dietz and Tami Farris; step-children, Kathy (Bill) Dial and Lisa Forbes Keogh; grandchildren, Shelly (Gary) Eisenhauer, Cleth “Josh” (Brittaney) Dietz, Rachel Crofts and CJ Simmonds, Cody James Crofts and Sarah Zwick; great-grandchildren, Christopher (Desarae) Eisenhauer, Devon Eisenhauer, Jacob Catron, great-great grandchildren, Daniel and Leah Eisenhauer.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Richard Dietz; and step-son, Terry Forbes.



Private family services will be held.



Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
